Born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom on October 4, 1991, English singer-songwriter and actress Leigh-Anne Pinnock performed as a member of the group Little Mix before embarking on a solo career. Inheriting Caribbean heritage from her father, she began singing in a choir before auditioning for The X Factor in 2011. While she didn't initially qualify, she was still called back by the judges to join the group Rhythmix (later known as Little Mix), eventually winning the finale. The group became an instant sensation, releasing six albums, including the number one album Glory Days in 2016, and achieving five chart-topping singles before announcing their indefinite hiatus in 2022. She was the subject of a BBC documentary titled Leigh-Anne: Race, Pop & Power in 2021, winning Best Authored Documentary and Documentary of the Year at the National Television Awards and the Visionary Honours Awards, respectively, before making her film debut in the movie Boxing Day in December that year. Signing a solo artist contract with Warner Records, she released two covers on her video channel, "I Say a Little Prayer" and "Weak," in March, 2023, unveiling her debut single "Don't Say Love" in June, reaching number 42 on the charts. Her debut EP, No Hard Feelings, followed later that year.
