Biography

Luchè is the stage name of Italian rapper Luca Imprudente, born in Naples on January 7, 1981. Raised in the neighborhood of Marianella, he founded the hip-hop collective Co'Sang with fellow MCs  Ntò, Denè, and Dayana, releasing two critically acclaimed albums before splitting up in 2012. Featuring cameos by Dogo Gang, Marracash, and Emis Killa, his studio debut L1 appeared later that year and climbed to Number 45 on the Italian charts. Luchè's ascent to stardom continued with L2 (2014), released via Marracash and Shablo's Roccia Music imprint. The album went to Number 24 in Italy and counted with the collaboration of Achille Lauro and Clementino, among others. In 2016, Luchè finally broke into the mainstream with Malammore, a star-studded affair with contributions by Gué Pequeno, CoCo, and Baby K. An outstanding commercial success, Malammore peaked at Number 2 on the Italian Albums Chart and received platinum certification by FIMI after selling over 50,000 units. Preceded by the singles "Je Ce Credevo" and "Torna da Me," fourth album Potere upped the ante considerably, earning Luchè his first Number 1 record and achieving double-platinum status shortly after. His winning streak continued with 2022's Dove Volano le AquileLuchè's second chart-topping album, and his first for major-label Columbia. "Le Pietre Non Volano," the album's lead single, bowed at Number 11 on the domestic charts and featured verses by longtime collaborator Marracash.
