Formed by former members of the late 1990s South Korean boy band Sechs Kies, duet group J-Walk (Korean: 제이워크) aka singer Jang Su-won and dancer and rapper Kim Jae-duck stepped out in 2002 and began releasing music that year, establishing a fanbase thanks to the success of their debut album Suddenly, which went to number two in South Korea. Joining forces again with Suddenly producer Ahn Sung-Il, the jazz fusion and bossa nova-flavoured follow-up Someday didn't fare quite as well on the charts but nonetheless the pair won the SBS Gayo Daejeon Popularity Award for Suddenly that same year. The J-Walk 2007 Mini Album for Vitamin Entertainment arrived in 2007. Following the release of their third album My Love in 2008, both Jang Su-won Kim Jae-duck entered the military. They returned in 2013 with mini-album Love...Painfully and three years later signed with YG Entertainment. However, since Sech Kies also reunited in 2016, new J-Walk material has yet to materialise.
