Biography

The country singer Justin Moore was born on March 30, 1984, in Poyen, Arkansas. He regularly sang gospel songs in church but gravitated more strongly toward country music, which prompted him to move to Nashville after graduating high school. He released his debut single "Back That Thing Up" in 2008, hitting Number 38 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. His self-titled debut album, Justin Moore, followed in 2009, reaching Number 3 on the Top Country Albums Chart and featuring the Number 1 single "Small Town USA." Moore's cover of the Rhett Atkins song "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away" reached Number 1 two years later, doubling as the first single from Moore's chart-topping sophomore album, Outlaws Like Me. The album, which also featured the Number 1 hit "Til My Last Day," was eventually certified platinum. 2013's Off the Beaten Path and 2016's Kinda Don't Care both hit Number 1, as did the singles "Lettin' the Night Roll," "You Look Like I Need a Drink," and "Somebody Else Will." 2019's Late Nights and Longnecks continued Moore's streak of Number 1 hits with "The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home" and "Why We Drink," while 2021's Straight Outta the Country featured the Number 1 single "We Didn't Have Much." "With a Woman You Love," Moore's fourth Number 1 hit in a row, was released in 2021 and later reappeared on his seventh album, Stray Dog
