Blue Pearl was a British electronic music duo consisting of American singer Durga McBroom and British musician Martin Glover, also known as Youth. The group formed in 1990 and quickly gained attention with their debut album Naked, which included the hit single "Little Brother". Their breakthrough came with the release of "Naked in the Rain", a track from the same album that achieved significant chart success across Europe, reaching Top 10 positions in Austria and England. The song also peaked at number 5 on the US Dance Music/Club Play Singles chart. Throughout their career, Blue Pearl released several notable singles and EPs, including "(Can You) Feel the Passion" in 1992, which reached number 14 on the UK Charts and topped the Billboard Dance Music/Club Play Singles. The duo collaborated with prominent musicians such as David Gilmour and Richard Wright from Pink Floyd on tracks like "Running Up That Hill" and "Alive". Blue Pearl disbanded in 1993, but their music continued to be recognized posthumously. In 1998, a remix of "Naked in the Rain" re-entered the English charts, marking their last chart hit. Additionally, McBroom and Glover contributed to Pink Floyd's 2014 album The Endless River, with McBroom as a background singer and Glover as a co-producer.
