The Orchestre de Chambre National de Toulouse, founded in 1953 by Louis Auriacombe, is France's oldest chamber orchestra. Initially self-managed as an association with twelve solo strings, it was later directed by Georges Armand and Bojidar Bratoev before Augustin Dumay took over. Alain Moglia led the ensemble from 1992 to 2002, during which time the orchestra undertook tours in Asia (1995) and the United States (1996). The orchestra transitioned to a cooperative production company structure in 2004 and has been supported by various regional authorities. Under the direction of Gilles Colliard since 2015, the ensemble has expanded its repertoire from Baroque to modern music, performing over 5,000 concerts both nationally and internationally. Notable albums include La Follia: Italie Baroque, Joseph Haydn: L'intégrale Des Concertos Pour Violon, and Mozart: Symphonies.
