Vj Awax

DJ Awax is a producer from Reunion Island and founder of the Run Hit label. Born in Saint-Denis de la Réunion, he took dancehall and Caribbean rhythms as his musical model to create his style and collaborate on the island with several singers. He made a name for himself as a DJ before founding his Run Hit label in 2013 and multiplying his releases and collaborations, between dancehall and R&B. In 2014, the Run Hit #1 compilation brought together his first productions with artists such as Sizzla, Mr. Vegas, Warren, Maylan, MC Duc, Misiz and the Red Eye Crew. Two further volumes will follow in the form of EPs. After his first singles released in 2012, VJ Awax has collaborated over the years with a wide range of artists including MC Duc, MCBox, Angee, Kaf Malbar, St Unit, VJ Ben, Metys, T Matt, Varaine Ben, MC Jojo, Melly, ADR, Dangerous, R One or GTNN. His success on social networks extends beyond Reunion Island, attracting an ever-growing audience, notably in 2023 with the viral hit "Chambouler", then in 2024 with "4 kampé Réunion".
