Neg'Marrons

"C'est la monnaie qui dirige le monde, c'est la monnaie qui dirige la Terre": this refrain revealed Les Nèg'Marrons in the mid-1990s. Originally from Secteur Ä, this trio helped bring dancehall to the mainstream with tracks like "La Monnaie", "Lève-toi, bats-toi" and "Le Bilan". Touched by the ills of the world and the problems of the underprivileged neighborhoods from which they come, the trio have turned their music into a positive struggle, punctuated by reggae and ragga sounds. After a career spanning over ten years and four albums, Les Nèg'Marrons have established themselves as one of the most popular groups of their kind in France. The duo disappeared from circulation for seven years, but resurfaced in 2015 with a series of three singles, "Fast Food Music", "J'aime trop la vie" and "J'arrive comme je suis". They set the stage for their comeback with the album Valeur Sûre.
