Biography
It’s almost a given that anyone that has seen ‘Sons of Anarchy’ will know who Jake Smith is. Indeed, the season four finale featured an emotive and unforgettable rendition of The Animals classic ‘The House Of The Rising Sun’. With The White Buffalo then, Jake, alongside bandmates Matt Lynott and Christopher Hoffee explore the grey area between genres, carving out a sound rooted in dark folk, countrified soul, cinematic storytelling and roadhouse-worthy rock. They keep things unclassifiable on The White Buffalo’s sixth album, ‘Darkest Darks, Lightest Lights’, the most hard-hitting, electrified album of his career. Bringing his tally up to 6 official releases with Earache too, Jake recently completed a sold out tour across the UK and Europe and will return with new music in late 2019.
