Guana Batz are an English psychobilly band who formed in 1982 in Feltham, West London. The original members included Pip Hancox on vocals, Stuart Osborne on guitar, Dave "Diddle" Turner on drums, and Mick Wigfall on upright bass. After several lineup changes, the band found success with their chart-topping debut album Held Down to Vinyl... At Last, released in 1985. The band's frequent appearances at the Klub Foot further cemented their status in the psychobilly scene. The Guana Batz released multiple albums throughout their career, including Loan Sharks (1986), Live Over London (1987), and the demo collection Get Around (1996). Despite breaking up in 1990, they reunited in 1996. Notable releases after their reunion include the compilation The Very Best of the Guana Batz (2001), Burning Up (2017), and Back to the Jungle (2018).
