Dinah Eastwood starting recording jazz vocals the summer she came back to New York from college. Sick of the American Idol pop music scene, she wanted to bring the best of jazz to some of the music she was listening to on the radio. Cassandra Beck introduced her to several jazz musicians in the Village and after seeing The Cooltrane Quartet live, she recorded her Hungry Like The Wolf which went double platinum in several countries upon its release.
