3 Daft Monkeys

3 Daft Monkeys, a world music-influenced acoustic band from Cornwall, UK, became active in 2000. Group members have included Tim Ashton, Athene Roberts, Rich Mulryne, and Jamie Graham, with instrumentation including vocals, fiddle, twelve-string guitar, bass guitar, and percussion. Their musical influences spanned Celtic, Balkan, Romani, Latino, electronic dance, reggae, dub, punk rock, and traditional folk music. The band's early success included performances at major venues and festivals across the UK and Europe, notably the Eden Project and the 2008 BBC Proms at St David's Hall in Cardiff. Their debut album, Brouhaha, was released in 2000. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, 3 Daft Monkeys played over sixty 'Cyberbusks' online between March 2020 and June 2021. They resumed touring in July 2021, performing at several major festivals including Beautiful Days and Hawkfest. The band enjoyed airplay on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio Ulster, BBC Radio Cornwall, and BBC Radio Wales.
