Reinventing classic disco grooves with Balearic beats, Todd Terje's stylish remixes and infectious club anthems have marked him out as Scandinavia's hottest DJ and a hugely respected producer who has worked with Franz Ferdinand and Bryan Ferry. Born in Mjondalen, Norway as Terje Olsen, he grew up singing in church choirs and learned piano in music school before dropping out of university to DJ in local clubs. Taking his stage name as a nod to New York house legend Todd Terry, Terje became part of the "Holy Trinity of Norwegian disco" alongside Prins Thomas and Hans-Peter Lindstrom, and made his name re-working Michael Jackson, Bee Gees and Bangles tracks with vintage synths and strutting hooks. Influenced by Philly Soul, the acid house of Frankie Knuckles and the glitterball disco of Giorgio Moroder, he scored big European club anthems with Ragysh, Inspector Norse and Delorean Dynamite, co-wrote Robbie Williams' single Candy and earned the nickname "The King of Summer Jams" from Mixmag magazine for his laid-back, breezy style. After ten years of success he finally released his debut full length album It's Album Time (2014), which featured Bryan Ferry covering Robert Palmer's Johnny And Mary and went on to reach Number 23 in the UK charts.
