Edmund Enright, known professionally as Mundy, was born on 19 May 1975 in Birr, County Offaly, Ireland and emerged as a singer in the folk‑rock and rock scenes. After early songwriting work, he signed with Epic Records and released his debut album Jelly Legs on 14 October 1996, featuring the track "To You I Bestow" that appeared on the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann’s film Romeo + Juliet. In 2000, after being dropped by Epic, Enright founded Camcor Records and issued the album 24 Star Hotel on 19 April 2002; the single "July" received extensive airplay and the album achieved triple‑platinum status in Ireland. His third studio effort, Raining Down Arrows, launched on 14 May 2004, entered the Irish Albums Chart at number one and later received a platinum certification. Enright’s live album Live & Confusion was released on 10 June 2006, and the single "Love & Confusion" followed on 3 November 2006. Subsequent releases included Shuffle on 29 April 2011. Throughout his career, he collaborated with artists including Lucinda Williams, Sharon Shannon, and Shane MacGowan, toured the UK and Ireland, and contributed to compilation projects, solidifying his presence in the Irish music landscape.
