Swedes say that "alone, one is strong". But Karolina Thunberg and Ísak Ásgeirsson prove that two people who complement each other are stronger. This Swedish/Icelandic pair have gone through heaven and hell together, embodied through their band Baula. Between distorted, country-flavored guitars, a gritty indie drive and the somber tones of Nordic melancholy, they have developed their own signature sound, which was cemented in 2019 on their first EP Drought.
