Run River North

Run River North is an American indie folk rock band formed in 2011 in the United States. The group was established under the name Monsters Calling Home and consists of Alex Hwang, Daniel Chae, and Sally Kang. They were revealed in 2012 through a performance on the television program Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Their debut album, Run River North (2014), reached number 6 on the Billboard Folk Albums chart. Their recordings include the album Drinking from a Salt Pond (2016), which reached number 8 on the Heatseekers Albums chart, and the single “Run or Hide” (2015), which reached number 29 on the Alternative Airplay chart. The band performed at international festivals including the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival and Summer Sonic. Subsequent recordings include the album Creatures in Your Head (2021) and the recording Perfect (2025). The ensemble became inactive in 2021 before resuming activity in 2025.
