Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon (also spelled Bluelagoon) is a German reggae-tinged dance pop duo. Formed in 2004 by producer Felix J. Gauder (Novaspace), the project features singer Estrella (née Patricia Gerndt) and singer/rapper David O Joseph. Their cover of Matthew Wilder's reggae pop hit "Break My Stride" reached #2 in the German charts in 2004, followed by Culture Club's "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?", which reached #13 in early 2005. The two tracks that took the Clublagoon album to #33 in the charts were followed by covers of Dionne Warwick's "Heartbreaker " (#22) and Jimmy Ruffin's "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted" (#61), alongside "Isle of Paradise" (#29), released ahead of Blue Lagoon's second album, Sentimental Fools (2007). The following year saw the release of the Cat Stevens cover, "Wild World", before the 2010 release of the Perfect Summer compilation.
