Biography

Italian pop vocalist Michele Bravi was born in Citta di Castello on December 19, 1994. He is best known as the winner of the Italian edition of X Factor’s seventh season, which led to his first Number 1 hit single “La Vita e la felicità”. As a child, Michele Bravi joined a city choir but eventually drifted away from music. During liceo classico (secondary school), he became interested in music again, learning to play the piano. In 2013, Bravi auditioned for the seventh season of Italy’s X Factor. After being chosen to participate, he ended up winning the competition on December 12. One of the songs he performed on X Factor was “La Vita e la felicità”, written by Italian singer/songwriter Tiziano Ferro. Released by Sony, the song reached Number 1 on the Italian Singles chart. The song was featured on the EP of the same name, released shortly after his X Factor win. Bravi recorded the title track of the film Sotto una buona stella, which became his second single. In June of 2014, he released his debut album, A Passi Piccolo, which reached Number 8 in the Italian Albums chart. A Passi Piccoli included tracks composed by James Blunt, Giorgia, Emilio Munda, and Federico Zampaglione. Bravi left Sony, signed with Universal and released the EP I Hate Music, which consisted of English-language recordings. Bravi then undertook his first concert tour. In February, 2017, he released his second album Anima di Carta, which reached the Number 1 position on the Italian Albums chart. The album included the singles “Il diario degil errori” and “Solo per un po”, which won an MTV Italian Music Award for Best Performance. He then collaborated with Elodie and rapper Gué Pequeno on the single “Nero Bali”, which hit the Top 10 in Italy. In early 2020, he released “La Vita breve dei coriandoli”, the first single from this third album La Geografia del Buio.
