Rapman

Andrew Onwubolu, known professionally as Rapman, was born in Deptford, London. He is a British rapper, producer, director, and writer. Rapman's music career began with the Blue Story Trilogy (2013–2014), an online video series that depicted a violent postcode war between two London areas. In 2018, he created, wrote, directed, and produced the three-part musical crime drama series Shiro's Story, which garnered over 33 million views and led to his signing with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. His debut feature film, Blue Story (2019), received critical acclaim and became the highest-grossing British urban film of all time. In 2024, Supacell, a superhero series written and directed by Rapman, was released and was highly praised for its realistic portrayal of black people in Britain. He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2022 for his contributions to drama and music.
