Doctor Flake

Jean-Marie Léger, known professionally as Doctor Flake, was born on December 17, 1974, in Annecy, France, and is a French producer and composer. He began his musical career in 2003, focusing on sampling. His debut album, Intervention Chirursicale, released in 2006, garnered comparisons to DJ Shadow's abstract hip-hop style. Doctor Flake continued this trajectory with Paradis Dirtyficiels in 2007, which featured tracks selected by DJ Krush. In 2011, he released "Swell Line" as a single from his album Flake Up, which included collaborations with Vale Poher and Christine Ott on the track "Silver". Doctor Flake's work has been used in various media, including the film After (2012) and the theater production Les vilains petits (2022). His album, Floating, was released in 2022.
