Bamby

Bamby, real name Ambre Zamor, was born on September 11, 1991 in Cayenne, French Guiana. Nicknamed Bamby by her family from childhood, she would later use it as her artist's name. A lifelong music fan, she grew up listening to Whitney Houston, whose songs she learned by heart from the age of three. At school, she crossed paths with Wendy Torvic - the future Jahyanai - who inspired her to take up music. She debuted in 2015 with "Fix Up", then "Run Di Place" in 2016, and above all "Who Mad Again" in 2017, a hit that established her on the dancehall scene. She followed this up with "Bad from Mi Born" (2018) and "Sugar Daddy" (2019), while gradually affirming her artistic evolution. While her beginnings are rooted in reggae and dancehall, Bamby is moving towards urban pop mixed with R&B, while exploring shatta. She collaborates with artists such as Maud Elka, DJ Leska, Maureen, Says'z and Mallaury. In 2025, she released her first album, MUSE, a more personal and accomplished synthesis of her musical career.
