Biography

After making her recording debut with a pair of acoustic-oriented EPs in 2014, American singer/songwriter Brynn Elliott revised her sound for 2018's Time Of Our Lives, whose dance-pop sound helped turn the record's lead single, "Might Not Like Me," into a radio hit. Elliott was born on November 11, 1994, in Atlanta, Georgia, where she began playing piano and guitar as a teenager. After graduating high school, she moved to Portland and spent a year fine-tuning her sound with producer Cliff Magness. Two EPs, Notions of Truth and Notions of Love, were independently released in early 2014, both featuring songs recorded during her time in Portland. Elliott enrolled at Harvard University that Fall and began pursuing a degree in philosophy, often playing shows with headliners like O.A.R. and Brandi Carlile during holiday breaks. She signed with Atlantic Records during her final year of college and released her major-label debut single, "Time Of Our Lives," the same month she graduated from Harvard. An EP of the same name followed in September 2018 and featured the track "Might Not Like Me," which climbed to Number 12 on America's Adult Top 40 Airplay chart. Three years later, Elliott scored another hit on the same chart with 2021's "Tell Me I'm Pretty."
