Kais Ben Baccar, better known as ISK, is a Canadian-born French rapper from La Ferté-sous-Jouarre in Seine et Marne. He started rapping at the age of 15 and made his debut in 2018 with a series of freestyles titled “Acharné,” quickly accumulating millions of views on his video-sharing channel. Two years later, ISK signed with Bendo 11 Records and released his debut mixtape Le Mal Est Fait (2020), which cemented his status as one of the fastest rising stars in the French hip hop world. That same year, ISK entered the French Top 50 with the standalone single “Garantie.” Vérité, his proper studio debut, arrived in 2021 and featured guest spots by Uzi (“Chez nous”), Niro (“Plus le temps”), Alonzo (“Quitter l’école”), Sofiane (“Cités de France”), Da Uzi (“Jamais on doute”), and YL (“Fazer”). The album debuted at Number 9 in France.
