Bad Books

Bad Books is an American indie rock supergroup that formed in 2010. The ensemble consists of the indie folk artist Kevin Devine and members of the band Manchester Orchestra, including Andy Hull, Robert McDowell, and the drummer Benjamin Homola. The collaboration began after Devine toured with Manchester Orchestra in 2008 and released the split EP I Could Be the Only One (2010). Their debut eponymous studio album, Bad Books, was released in 2010, followed by the studio recording II (2012). The latter featured the track “Forest Whitaker”, which was utilized in the television series How I Met Your Mother. The group’s discography also includes the studio recordings Daytrotter Session (2016), III (2019), and II: Revisited (2023).
