Napa

NAPA is a Portuguese indie rock band formed in 2013. Hailing from Funchal on the island of Madeira, the band first came to prominence under the English-language name Men on the Couch, and includes as members João Guilherme Gomes (vocals, guitar), Francisco Sousa (guitar), João Lourenço Gomes (bass) and João Rodrigues (drums). Under their first name, the musicians record their debut album Senso comum (2019) in Sintra, produced thanks to a crowdfunding campaign. This was followed in 2023 by Logo se ve, which formalized the NAPA name and led to a tour across Portugal, chronicled in the film O mundo continua a girar. Selected for the Festival da Canção 2025, the group's new song "Deslocado " earns them a place in the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest, held in Basel, Switzerland, on May 17, 2025. At the same time, "Deslocado" reaches No. 1 in the Portuguese charts.
