Mrs. Green Apple are a J-pop band formed in Tokyo in 2013 featuring singer-guitarist Motoki Omori, guitarist Hiroto Wakai, keyboard player Ryoka Fujisawa, drummer Ayaka Yamanaka and bassist Takumi Matsuo, who left in 2014 to be replaced by Kiyokazu Takano. They released their debut EP, 'Introduction', in 2014 followed by 'Progressive' and 'Variety' in 2015. Their 2016 debut album 'Twelve' went to number ten on Japan's Oricon albums chart and the single 'Speaking' reached number 22 on the Oricon singles chart. The track was used as the closing theme on the anime series 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V'.
'Mrs. Green Apple' (2017) peaked at number nine on the Oricon albums chart and the track 'Samama Festival' reached number nine on the Oricon singles chart. 'Ensemble' (2018) hit number three on the Oricon albums chart and the track 'WanteD! WanteD!' went to number 13 on the Oricon singles chart. The 2018 single release 'Ao to natsu' reached number 14 on the Oricon singles chart while 'Boku no Koto' (2019) peaked at number four and 'Ronaticism' (2019) number nine. An album titled 'Attitude' was due for release late in 2019. They have performed at venues across Japan including major festivals. Their 2019 schedule was to include appearances at venues in Takamatsu, Nagoya, Sendai, Osaka, Niigata, Fukuoka and Hiroshima.
