Hailing from the South of The Netherlands (Breda), songwriter and multi-instrumentalist The Martial brings his own perspective to country music. Drawing inspiration from a blend of styles, The Martial creates a refreshing form of music that effortlessly merges modern country music with soft rock.
In songwriting, The Martial showcases his vulnerability. “I mostly write from an introspective point of view, carefully touching on topics such as life, love and hope”, The Martial explains. “As time changes, there will always be new stories to write about”.
Following the release of his self-titled debut EP back in 2018, The Martial pressed on as he performed at UK country festival Buckle & Boots and opened shows for artists such as Luke Combs, Lindsay Ell and Ashley Campbell.
Shortly after The Martial began laying the groundwork for his second EP titled Down In My Heart, which released in the summer of 2022 after founding his own record label ‘Butterfly Knife Records’. Now The Martial is working on a new project, featuring the new single "Red White & Blue".
