Ian Pooley, born Ian Pinnekamp in 1973 in Germany, is a producer known for his contributions to electronic music. His career began in 1993 when he started producing house and techno music, influenced by producers from Chicago and Detroit. Early releases included The Latest Adventures of Kool Killer under the alias Space Cube. Pooley's breakthrough came with his appearance on BBC Radio One Essential Mix in 1998, featuring tracks by Slam, Jeff Mills, and his own productions. He released several albums through V2 Records, including Meridian (1998) and Since Then (2000). In 2003, Pooley founded his own record label, Pooled Music. His music often incorporates Brazilian influences, as heard in collaborations with artists like Rosanna, Zelia, and Marcos Valle. Notable works include "Coração Tambor" (2000) and Souvenirs (2004). Pooley has also remixed tracks for artists such as Deee-Lite, The Cardigans, Daft Punk, Cirque du Soleil, Carl Cox, and Bob Sinclar. His discography spans multiple albums and singles, showcasing his versatility in electronic music production.
