Manchester-born Antony Szmierek made his debut in 2023 in the Pink Room of the YES club, where his hip-hop-style chanted verses attracted an increasingly large and regular audience. Compared to Mike Skinner (The Streets), Szmierek released his debut album Giving Up for Beginners in 2021 and attracted growing interest with the EP Poems to Dance To (2023), for Lab Records, in which he shifted his style towards UK garage rhythms with tracks like "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Fallacy" (in reference to Douglas Adams' famous book) and "Rock and a Calm Place". Subsequent singles, "The Words to Auld Lang Syne", "How Did You Get There?" and "Dance Better", were remixed and their original versions included on the Seasoning EP. In 2024, a new phase begins with the tracks "Rafters", "Yoga Teacher" and "Angie's Wedding", leading to the album Station Service at the End of the Universe (2025). This EDM-styled album reached number 68 in the UK charts on its release.
