8485, also known as Eighty, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and music producer. She began her musical journey at 14 years old playing in punk bands, performing covers of artists like Billy Talent and writing songs inspired by Breaking Benjamin and Pierce the Veil. Her early influences included "Tumblr pop girls" such as Grimes and Marina and the Diamonds. 8485's career took off with the release of her single "1:15" in 2020, followed by the compilation album alpha testing later that year. She continued to gain traction with subsequent releases, including the EPs Plague Town and software gore. Notable collaborations include work with experimental artists such as Anamanaguchi, Danny Brown, Ericdoa, Midwxst, Underscores, and Whethan. She released a full studio album,  Personal Protocol, in 2023, under Eyeball Records.
