Biografía

Christone "Kingfish" Ingram is a modern-day bluesman and award-winning electric guitarist who was born on January 19, 1999, in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Raised not only on gospel music, but also on the sounds of blues icons like Robert Johnson, Muddy Walkers, and B.B. King, Christone Ingram was a child prodigy, playing drums at age six and learning the bass at age 11. By his teenager years, he'd found his true calling as an electric guitarist, developing a sound that nodded to his vintage influences. Ingram built his following by playing local shows in Mississippi, then found a national audience with the release of his debut full-length album, Kingfish, in May 2019. A Number 1 hit on both the Billboard Blues Chart and the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, Kingfish received a Grammy nomination for "Best Traditional Blues Album" in early 2020. Later that year, Christine Ingram won five awards at the Blues Music Awards, including "Album of the Year." After teaming up with songwriters Sean McConnell and Ashley Ray for the non-album single "Rock & Roll" in July 2020, he began working on his second full-length release. The result was 662, which was produced by Kingfish collaborator Tom Hambridge and released in 2021. That summer, the album's title track became Ingram's first Top 40 hit on the Adult Alternative Songs chart.
