Let Me Love You |
Following the release of his 2008 solo debut Save Me from Myself, former Korn guitarist and nü metal veteran Brian “Head” Welch started putting together the project that would become Love and Death around 2009. Assembled through a series of online and presential auditions, the Christian rock band's lineup was consolidated in 2012 with the addition of JR Bareis on guitar, Michael Valentine on bass, and Dan Johnson on drums. That same year, they reached Number 4 on Billboard’s Christian Rock chart with the title track from their debut EP Chemicals. Between Here & Lost, their first full-length, arrived in 2013 via the renowned Christian label Tooth & Nail and peaked at Number 5 on the Top Christian Albums chart. Over the next couple of years, they released the 2016 single “Lo Lamento” and had some major changes in their lineup - Valentine and Johnson quit the band and were replaced by Jasen Rauch and Isaiah Perez, respectively. Subsequently, they returned with “Down” (2020), their first-ever entry on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart and the lead single for their 2021 sophomore effort, Perfectly Preserved.
