Biografía

With singer-songwriter Tiffany Arbuckle Lee (neé Arbuckle) aided by producer Matt Bronleewee, Plumb began life as a Christian rock duo in 1997. The pair, who added electronic and orchestral tones to spiky 1990s rock, released their debut self-titled album in 1997 but rose to fame following the release of their second album, 1999's candycoatedwaterdrops, which scooped the 2000 Gospel Music Association Dove Award for Modern Rock Album of the Year. Exploring sensitive issues like self-harm ("Cut"), the acclaimed album's bold lyrical stance drove a wedge between Plumb and the Christian music community but saw the group gain a new legion of alternative music fans. For their third album, Beautiful Lumps of Coal (2003), Lee broke away from Bronleewee to go solo. Plumb's fourth album, 2006's Chaotic Resolve, was also a solo endeavor, while Blink was written from the perspective of Lee's experience as a new mother. She took time out to focus on motherhood and family, but resurfaced in 2013 to great fanfare with Plumb's sixth album, Need You Now, also marking a reunion with Bronleewee. Seventh studio album, Exhale, arrived in 2015 and Lee launched her own label to release 2018's Beautifully Broken.
