DRIFT

Behind the name Drift hides French producer Renaud Letang, for the duration of a project bringing together some of the artists he has worked with. Born in Teheran in January 1970, Renaud Letang trained in studio work with Phil Ramone, producing music for advertising and television, before assisting Jean-Michel Jarre as a sound engineer in the 1990s. He then set out on his own as a producer, working at Studios Ferber in Paris, beginning with Alain Souchon. In 1996, he won a Victoire de la musique award for producing Souchon's album Défoule Sentimentale. The list of his productions soon grew to include The Silencers, Aston Villa, Malka Family, Manu Chao, Jean-Louis Aubert, Tété, Gonzales, Katerine, Albin de la Simone, Renaud, Feist, Jane Birkin, Bernard Lavilliers, Amadou & Mariam, Eddy Mitchell, Emilie Simon, Oxmo Puccino, Jarvis Cocker and Jeanne Added. In 2025, it was under the name Drift that he brought together some of his acquaintances, namely Katerine, Feist, Connan Mockasin, Benny Sings, Mel D, Chilly Gonzales, Jamie Lidell, Saul Williams and even Vladimir Cosma for the album At the Party, in a style mixing downtempo, electro pop and pop rap.
