Biografía

American rapper and singer Tyla Yaweh was born on May 31, 1995, in Altamonte Springs, Florida, as Tyler Jamal Brown. He had a turbulent upbringing, getting involved in drug dealing at a young age. After being kicked out of home, Yaweh, along with three friends, packed their stuff into a car and headed to Los Angeles with a dream of becoming a rapper. Post Malone recognized his potential, which helped to kickstart his career. He opened for XXXTentacion's tour and began releasing his first singles in 2017, including "Wildlife," "Gemini," and "Goals." In 2018, he shifted his style towards rap-pop with the track "She Bad," featuring French Montana. Following the start of his Runaway Tour on September 14, 2019, Yaweh teamed up with YG to drop the single "I Think I Luv Her" shortly after, followed by a remix of "High Right Now" on January 24, 2020, unveiling the lead single "Tommy Lee," (featuring Post Malone) in June. The track was made available on all digital platforms and accompanied by a music video, and marked Yaweh's first entry on the Hot 100 chart, where he debuted at number 65. A remix of the song, featuring drums by Tommy Lee himself and a re-recorded guitar instrumental, was released on July 10, 2020, followed by a second remix featuring Saint Jhn. Yaweh then dropped a new single titled "All the Smoke," featuring Gunna and Wiz Khalifa and on May 14, 2021, Yaweh was featured on South Korean rapper B.I's single "Got It Like That," which also included American singer Destiny Rogers. Over the next two years, he released two albums, Heart Full of Rage and Heart Full of Rage 2, with the lead single "Summer Vibes" reaching number 39 on the Top 40 Radio Charts.
