El Güero y Su Banda Centenario are a Grammy-winning Mexican regional band known for blazing a trail for duranguense music, a fusion of technobanda and tamborazo. Comprising members El Guero (lead singer and songwriter) Daniel Zapata (keyboardist and tuba player) Jorge Gomez (drummer) and Jesus Garza (second keyboardist), the San Antonio-originating band have been a charismatic presence on the Mexican regional scene for several decades. Since forming in 2004, they have released a string of albums, including 2008 debut Antes Y Despues, Se Nos Murio El Amor in 2009, and Enamorate De Mi in 2010, for which they won Best Banda Album at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. Known for their live shows that blend the excitement of a banda with the storytelling richness of norteño, El Güero y Su Banda Centenario grew to become one of the most exciting acts to watch in contemporary Mexican music. In 2012, they picked up another Grammy nomination (Banda or Norteño Album) for their LP Estare Mejor and released a greatest hits compilation in 2019.
