Weichafe

Weichafe is a Chilean rock band founded in mid-1996 by Marcelo Da Venezia (bass and vocals), Angelo Pierattini (guitar and vocals), and Mauricio Hidalgo (drums). The group's early years were marked by local performances and the release of their debut album Tierra Oscura Del Sol in 1999. Weichafe gained significant traction with subsequent albums, including Weichafe (2002) and Pena de ti (2004). Their breakthrough came with Harto de todo (2006), which earned them the Altazor Award in 2007. The band's live album and DVD Yo soy Weichafe, released in 2007, further solidified their status as a prominent force in Chilean rock. After announcing their disbandment in 2008, Weichafe reunited in 2014 and continued to release music, including the EP La luz de un guerrero (2015) and the album Mundo hostil (2016).
