Mei ehara

Mei Ehara, born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese singer-songwriter and wruter. She initially gained traction under the moniker may.e, self-releasing three albums between 2013 and 2014. She later signed to Kakubarhythm and released her debut album Sway in 2017, which was produced by Kicell's Goemon Tsujimura. Her second album, Ampersands, followed in 2020. Ehara collaborated with Faye Webster on the track "Overslept" from Webster's 2021 album I Know I'm Funny Haha and supported Webster on her Underdressed at the Symphony tour in 2024. In 2025, she announced her first headlining tour in the United States and appearances at major festivals including Fuji Rock Festival and Circle. Ehara also contributed to literature as the editor-in-chief of the magazine Sono and has collaborated with various artists such as Cornelius and Haruomi Hosono for her 50th-anniversary album. She released her third album, All About McGuffin, in 2025
