Mitch Murder

Johan Bengtsson, known professionally as Mitch Murder, is a Swedish electronic musician born on September 1, 1980, in Stockholm, Sweden, recognized for his contributions to the synthwave genre. His career began with the release of his first EP After Hours (2009). This was followed by several notable studio albums including Burning Chrome (2010), Current Events (2011), and Interceptor (2014). In 2013, Mitch Murder collaborated with director David Sandberg on the film Kung Fury, composing the majority of its music. The collaboration included the single "True Survivor" (2015) with David Hasselhoff, which gained significant acclaim upon release. His work has been featured in various soundtracks and compilations, including Mega64: KUTARAGI'S WAY (2014) and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number (2015). Mitch Murder's music draws inspiration from jazz, 1950s bossa nova, 1970s Motown, and 1980s pop. He also released the album Then Again (2021).
