Antonio Badú, born Antonio Namnum Nahes on August 13, 1914, in Real del Monte, Hidalgo, Mexico, was a Mexican bolero singer and actor. His breakthrough came when Ramón Armengod introduced him to composer Gabriel Ruiz Galindo, leading to his debut on the radio program La Hora Azul on the XEW station. Badú's acting career started in 1938 with the film Padre mercader, followed by notable roles in Me he de comer esa tuna (1945) and Cantaclaro (1946). Throughout his career, he remained a prominent figure of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Badú released his debut EP, Dime Si Me Quieres/Enamorada, with Carmela Ray in 1970. In 1974, he released his album Muchacha Del Alma. In early 1993, Badú published his autobiography, Sortilegio de vivir. He passed away on June 29, 1993, in Ciudad de México.
