Sangre Azul, a Spanish glam metal band from Madrid, was formed in 1981. The original lineup included "Lili" Castañosa on vocals, Carlos Raya and Juan Antonio Martín on guitars, Julio Díaz on bass, and Luis Santurde on drums. They won the eighth edition of the Villa de Madrid contest, leading to their first EP, Sangre Azul, in 1985. After "Lili" Castañosa's departure, Tony Solo took over vocals and they signed with Hispavox, releasing their debut album, Obsesión, in 1987. The band achieved success with albums like Cuerpo a cuerpo (1988), featuring hits like "No eres nadie" and "Dueño y señor", and El silencio de la noche (1989). They toured extensively across Europe, the United States, and Mexico before disbanding in 1992. Their music was compiled on The Platinum Collection, released in 2008.
