S.Kiyotaka & Omega Tribe

Kiyotaka Sugiyama is a Japanese singer from Yokohama born in 1960. Sugiyama began a career as the lead vocalist of the group S. Kiyotaka & Omega Tribe, which was discovered by producer Koichi Fujita. Their debut recording, the single “Summer Suspicion” (1983), reached number 9 on the Oricon Singles Chart. Their debut album, Aqua City (1983), reached number 4. Subsequent recordings include the albums River's Island (1984), which reached number 3, and Another Summer (1985), which reached Number 1. Their discography includes the single “Futari no Natsu Monogatari” (1985), which reached number 4, and the final studio album First Finale (1985), which reached Number 1. The group disbanded in 1985 and has since performed reunion tours in 2018 and 2019. Drummer Keiichi Hiroishi passed away in 2025.
