He has had over a billion global streams, supported and toured with Niall Horan, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran, even BTS’s Jimin is a fan…….!
His early gigs saw Sunday nights at The Old Storehouse in Dublin’s Temple Bar go from ten to 500 people in the space of a few weeks, fast forward to 2020 where he’s ended his world tour with another Sold Out 3 Arena in Dublin!
Simplicity is at the heart of Gavin James’s appeal. On his albums Live At Whelans (2015), Bitter Pill (2016) and Only Ticket Home (2018) he has displayed a way of penning melodies that sound like they have always existed and yet are entirely new.
The son of a much loved Dublin postman, he spent his early years listening to everything from Bob Dylan to Van Halen. Gavin was a regular on the Dublin live circuit. After signing to Good Soldier, Gavin met Ed Sheeran in 2015 and he invited him to open his shows. Four albums and a few world tours later, Gavin James has turned into a world star!
