Garibaldi

Garibaldi, a Mexican pop group formed in 1989 in Mexico City, was produced by Luis de Llano Macedo and Óscar Gómez. The original lineup included Pilar Montenegro, Patricia Manterola, Luisa Fernanda Lozano, Katia Llanos, Charly López, Xavier Ortiz, Víctor Noriega, and Sergio Mayer. Named after Plaza Garibaldi, the group aimed to blend Mexican musical traditions with modern sounds. Garibaldi released their self-titled debut album (also known as Mex Mix in Spain) in 1988. They achieved success with the 1989 release Que te la pongo, featuring hits like "Que te la pongo" and "Banana". They continued with albums such as Gritos de guerra, gritos de amor (1993) and the soundtrack for their 1993 film ¿Dónde quedó la bolita?. In 1994, they released Caribe, which included notable songs like "La Ventanita" and "Dame un beso". Garibaldi continued releasing music throughout the 1990s, including Miami Swing (1995).
