Night Club is an American electronic group formed in Los Angeles in 2012 by Mark Brooks (also known as 3 Kord Scissor King) and Emily Kavanaugh. The duo debuted with the single "Lovestruck" in July 2012, followed by the self‑titled EP Night Club in September 2012, which included a video for the title track. Their early releases established a synth‑pop and darkwave sound that led to a radio debut on KROQ’s Rodney Bingenheimer show on 22 October 2012. Subsequent EPs–Love Casualty (June 2013) and Black Leather Heart (September 2014)–were supported by music videos for tracks such as "Poisonous" and "Need You Tonight". In 2013 the band composed the score for the Comedy Central pilot Moonbeam City, and in 2015 they released the official soundtrack for the series. Their first full‑length album, Requiem for Romance (October 2016), reached Number 2 on the CMJ RPM chart and was named best non‑metal album by Metal Injection that year. Scary World (August 2018) debuted at Number 4 on the US iTunes electronic chart, while Die Die Lullaby (October 2020) entered the US iTunes electronic chart at Number 1. The most recent album, Masochist (March 2024), opened with a collaboration featuring Maynard James Keenan and also debuted at Number 1 on the US iTunes electronic chart.
