Eternal Tears of Sorrow

Eternal Tears of Sorrow was a Finnish melodic death metal band formed in Pudasjärvi in 1994 by Jarmo Puolakanaho, Altti Veteläinen, and Olli-Pekka Törrö. Their debut album, Sinner's Serenade, was released in 1997. The band signed with Spinefarm Records after their second album, Vilda Mánnu (1998). Notable albums include Chaotic Beauty (2000), which led to a European tour with Nightwish and Sinergy, and A Virgin and a Whore (2001), which charted in the Finnish Album Top 40. After disbanding in January 2003, they reunited in February 2005 and released Before the Bleeding Sun in April 2006. The band's final album was Saivon Lapsi, released in 2013. They announced their disbandment on February 2, 2025.
