Raul Ornelas

Raúl Ornelas Toledo, born on June 23, 1971, in Arriaga, Chiapas, Mexico, is a Mexican singer-songwriter. He learned to play the guitar in high school and began performing in local bars while studying Tourism Administration in Veracruz. His breakthrough came when he moved to Mexico City and was invited to join Televisa's training center for television initiators, where he studied music for two years. Ornelas released his debut album, Ornelas En el Exilio, in 1999, which included the song "Gato y Pantera" that he performed at the Viña del Mar Festival representing Mexico. His subsequent albums include Manual De Lo Prohibido (2002), Mi Lado Izquierdo (2010), and Deteniendo el Tiempo (2013). Ornelas has collaborated with various artists, including Alejandro Fernández, Thalía, and Víctor García, composing hits like "Hasta la Camisa" and "Manías". He has performed at the Teatro Metropolitan multiple times and toured internationally.
