Biografía

Sticky Fingers are an Australian Indie rock band from Sydney. Formed in 2008, the group’s lineup consists of vocalist Dylan Frost, bassist Paddy Cornwall, lead guitarist Seamus Coyle, drummer Beaker Best, and keyboardist Freddy Crabs. After watching Frost busk outside of a hotel in Newtown, Cornwall and Best invited him to join their project, which evolved into a full-blown band in the beginning of 2009. That year, they played their first couple of shows and released their debut EP Helping Hand, followed by a second EP titled Extended Play in 2010. Following the release of their third EP Happy Endings in 2011, Sticky Fingers made headlines by playing an impromptu show at a friend’s backyard after being rejected by Newtown Festival twice in a row. The daring move finally paid off, as they were selected to participate in the festival next year and got in contact with Dan Hume, who would produce their debut album Caress Your Soul in 2013. Slowly but surely, Sticky Fingers made their way up to the top with releases like Land of Pleasure (2014) and Westway (The Glitter & the Slums) (2016), which debuted at Number 1 on the ARIA charts. Despite their ever-growing popularity, the band went on indefinite hiatus in late 2016 after allegations of racial abuse against frontman Dylan Frost. Two years later, they announced their return to the stage with the release of the single “Kick On” and embarked on an international tour that took them to North America, Europe, and Asia. Sticky Fingers spent most of 2021 teasing the release of their fifth studio album through the singles “We Can Make the World Glow,” “Saves the Day” and “My Rush.” Also in 2021, their single “Crooked Eyes” entered the Australian Top 100 at Number 77.
