Three Souls in My Mind

Three Souls in My Mind, a Mexican rock group founded in 1968, was formed by Carlos Hauptvogel and Álex Lora during their high school years. The band initially performed covers of American rock and roll and blues songs before releasing their first original Spanish compositions at the Festival Rock y Ruedas Avándaro in 1971. This festival, known as the "Mexican Woodstock", marked a significant breakthrough for the group. Following the festival, Three Souls in My Mind faced repression but gained popularity through underground performances and critical lyrics addressing social issues. Their discography includes notable albums such as the compilation 15 grandes éxitos (1985) and Tres almas en mi mente (1988). The group disbanded in 1984 with Hauptvogel retaining the rights to the name Three Souls in My Mind after a legal dispute.
