IAMNOTSHANE is a Los Angeles–based singer-songwriter who weaves unconventional narratives into pop melodies with a sharp sense of absurdism. With over 250 million global streams, he has built a cult fanbase drawn to his emotionally raw storytelling and striking visual world.
He first gained traction releasing bedroom demos from his debut SAD EP, pairing intimate songwriting with self-driven, highly visual music videos. In 2020, he released his self-titled EP featuring “Perfect,” followed by his debut album One Less Year Alive (2021), which included fan favorites like “What a Perfect Day for Crying.”
His breakout single, “Maybe My Soulmate Died,” became a global phenomenon in 2023, surpassing 140 million streams, and appears on his second album, Chasing the Wind (2024). That same year, he released “It’s Halloween,” which quickly became a recurring seasonal favorite alongside its cinematic music video.
A self-directed visual artist, IAMNOTSHANE’s music videos - beginning with “Insecure” - have collectively surpassed 40 million YouTube views, while his music content across social platforms has generated more than 400 million views.
He is currently entering his next chapter with The Playwright’s Demise EP, led by the single “Love Interest of the Month,” released in 2025, with the full EP arriving in 2026.
